What To Expect

Consultation

One of our Highly Skilled Providers in Fort Worth, TX will meet with you to assess your Spider veins. They will determine if your veins can be safely and successfully treated. Consents will be obtained and pictures will be taken of areas to be treated.

Sclerotherapy

If Sclerotherapy is deemed suitable for your spider veins during the consultation and you've scheduled a treatment, the provider will prepare Asclera (Polidocanol), an FDA-approved prescription medication. Administered through injections, Asclera prompts the closure and sealing of the targeted veins.

Completing a Session

Once the areas are injected, the legs are cleaned and a special cream is applied to the sites to aid in healing and reducing inflammation. The legs are then wrapped with a compression wrap to help the treated veins to stay closed. This wrap will be left in place for 24 hours.

After Treatment

After the legs are wrapped, you are done with your appointment. Appointments usually take around 30- 45 minutes. You will be given a post treatment instruction card that details all of your post treatment care. You will then have a Follow up appointment in 1-2 weeks to re assess the sites treated.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

Do Not Wax or Shave area to be treated or use depilatories 24 hours prior to treatment

Do Not Apply Lotion to Legs on the Day of the Procedure

Avoid sun exposure at least 3 days prior to treatment

No fake tanning for at least 48-72 hours prior to treatment

Avoid Drinking Alcohol 48 hours prior

Avoid Aspirin or Blood thinning medications 24-48 hours before treatment

Please have freshly cleansed skin for treatment day
